As a child I was forced to go to family nudist camps by pedophiles. And while at the family nudist camps other pedophiles molested me while I was there. My story, unfortunately, is not unique. As people have learned about my story other survivors have reached out to me, recounting their harrowing experiences of abuse at similar places. It's clear that these environments are grounds for predators seeking children. Individuals who harm children exploit environments where shared nudity is socially accepted, using that norm to blur boundaries and providing access to children. These places are grooming havens for pedophiles and are the backdrop for exploitation and abuse. 

Family nudist camps attract pedophiles to come and view children legally. Why wouldn't pedophiles be interested in going to family nudist camps?

Statistics illustrate that child molestation is a pervasive issue across our society. In environments where nudity is normalized the threat is exacerbated.

Concrete action is necessary. We urge policymakers to rethink the legal status of family nudist camps in the USA. If adults want to be nude in front of each other that is their right, but they should not be allowed to include children, who cannot consent to go to these pedophile havens.

No child should experience the abuse I suffered, ever, and definately not in institutions that are deemed legal. How can this be? It’s illegal to have pictures of children without clothes. At family nudist camps children are fully visible, creating opportunities for those with nefarious intent. Let's protect children and hold our communities accountable for their safety. We must be willing to have difficult conversations about spaces that carry these risks, even when those spaces are socially accepted or culturally defended.
