Scammers / Fake ads on social media and other sources to adopt pets, stealing money (deposits for pets and delivery fees) with no intention to sell the person any pet(s). 
Many people have lost thousands of dollars, some had their identity stolen as well. 
These people are in foreign countries as well as US.
