Ban EA From Having Any Involvement In Future Def Jam Games.
The Issue

The Demand:
We, the undersigned, demand that Electronic Arts (EA) permanently forfeit the rights to the Def Jam interactive gaming franchise and pledge under penalty of law to never produce, develop, or publish another hip-hop fighting game.
The Grievance:
In 2004, the gaming community was blessed with Def Jam: Fight for NY—a masterpiece of arcade combat, gripping story mode, and flawless hip-hop culture integration. Then, in 2007, Def Jam: Icon was unleashed upon the world.
By removing the pro-wrestling mechanics, adding clunky turntable combat, slowing the gameplay down to a crawl, and forcing us to fight to the rhythm of the music just to deal damage, Icon did the unthinkable: it made throwing Ludacris through a window boring.
i mean come on, the game was released 3 years later and had the worst graphics of the 3, i'm kinda glad i don't remember which friend told me about this release, i would probably open palm smack them on live for the world to see.
the combat system is broken to the point where nothing makes sense, the big selling point of this for the uk was well the diversity in nationality, with that being said kano might literally be the worst character of them all...
his move set is more plain than a Blank piece of A4 paper, the fact you have to choose two songs before a versus battle rather than the old system is stupid, the mechanics are stupid, whoever is responsible for this atrocity also very stupid.
or maybe they were smart robbing us blind and leaving with the money like your 2025 crush, i feel they should publicly hold a meet and greet, handing out personal apology letter 1 by 1.
i feel as if we should all be payed for the depression we all faced after this release, not only did EA ruin the game, it's safe to say they ruined the whole franchise as a whole, if there is never another def jam i could understand.
however i've never made a game in my entire life, i'm almost certain that my 3 year old son could make a better game, while being half asleep, with a diaper full of S***t.
Kano should sue to be completely honest, this could be the reason he'll never have a number 1 album after all these years of rap.
The Resolution:
To protect future generations of gamers from the trauma of broken combat systems and watered-down hip-hop culture, we demand that EA officially archive the franchise. If a new game cannot live up to the legacy of Fight for NY, then no game shall be made at all. Drop the mic, step away from the console, and let the franchise rest in peace.
As an Alternate Resolution, make a "Def Jam Fight For The UK" featuring artists like; Skrapzz, Giggs, Chip, Am&Skengdo, Loski, Sneakbo, Bugzy Malone and Wretch 32. i mean at this point even add the crackhead wiley, you owe him for the damage of grime... oh my god, is this why grime is really dead ?
i think we're owed this much at the very least, after you single-handedly and collectively destroying our childhoods.
