The issue
E-scooters are a menace to all pedestrians, not just the able bodied but especially the elderly, the infirm and disabled.
E-scooters litter precious CBD/city pavement space, creating obstruction, eyesore and trip hazard.
E-scooters and bikes are a private business but are able to be left in any state all over public property. How is this so?
Untrained, unlicensed riders are riding at near motorbike speeds and velocities and the serious injury or fatality of a non-user is only a matter of time.
Brisbane is supposed to be an aspiring Olympic city. Paris, the 2024 Olympic City has banned e-scooters from its street and it's time Brisbane followed this civilised city and done the same.
