Imagine your child playing outside, but suddenly being struck down by a dirt bike rider. This was the reality my neighbor and I faced when our neighbor's son was hit by one. Through no fault of his own, he is now confined to his bed, bone fractured, missing out on a year's worth of physical activities while battling the blame wrongly put on him since the bike rider is unwilling to take responsibility for his actions.

This incident is not an isolated case. Dirt bikes pose significant threats to public safety. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, they are the cause of nearly 200,000 injuries annually in the United States. The use and operation of dirt bikes also disturb the peace and tranquility in residential areas. The noise and dust from dirt bikes are not only an annoyance but can also pose health risks for residents, especially those with respiratory conditions.

By this petition, we are making an urgent appeal to prohibit the use of dirt bikes within Stone Water Village Community. A community ought to be a safe haven for residents, especially for children, the elderly, and the injured. It is time we take a stand to create a safer, cleaner environment for everyone.
