Declawing cats is inhumane and cruel. It is in a cat's nature to scratch, just like it is in a dog's nature to chew, and their means of defense and bodily atomony should not be removed to convenience their selfish human's needs. Declawing is a terrible procedure that removes the first joint off of their toes. It would be like removing the first joint off of your finger. There are many cases of cats who have been declawed suffering for the rest of their lives and resorting to biting to accommodate their loss of their main defence mechanism. Cats need their claws like humans need their fingers. So many people are against it, yet its still legal. Anyone wanting to declaw their cats are horrible people and it should not be allowed. The ONLY time declawing a cat should EVER be allowed is if it is a medical emergency. You shouldn't be able to declaw one just because you want to. PLEASE help me to make this horrendous act a crime. It IS animal ABUSE and needs to be stopped NOW!!
