The Issue

Update: The Mayor or City Council may say "NO Data Centers" for now, but both are up for re-election next spring, and neither has tried to codify the ban in the City Charter. NO Data Centers should be allowed to move forward without voter discretion, now or later. We must codify the ban into law.

We must protect Lincoln’s water resources, electric-system capacity, public infrastructure, neighborhoods, environmental quality, use and enjoyment of property, and property values from the harmful effects of new Data Centers!

New Data Centers with extraordinary resource and infrastructure demands is a local land-use decision that only the qualified electors of the City should decide, not City Council.

Help us get funding to start a ballot initiative against data center construction!
