We, the undersigned, urge Magnolia ISD to implement a ban on student cell phone use during school hours. The presence of cell phones in schools has contributed to increased bullying, social media harassment, and the invasion of student privacy through video recording in private areas. Young students are not emotionally mature enough to handle the pressures and responsibilities that come with constant phone access.

By removing cell phones from the school environment, we can foster a safer and more focused learning space, reduce cyberbullying, and promote better mental health among students. Studies have shown that limiting phone use in schools leads to improved academic performance, increased social interaction, and decreased anxiety and stress among children.

We believe that prioritizing education and student well-being over digital distractions is essential for the success and safety of our children. We respectfully request that Magnolia ISD take action to ban cell phone use during school hours to create a healthier and more positive learning environment.
