I, along with countless other TikTok community members, feel deeply distraught at the presence of Casey Anthony on TikTok. As individuals who regularly utilize TikTok as a safe space for expression and creativity, this addition is disconcerting and feels intrusive. Casey Anthony, famously remembered as the woman acquitted in 2011 for the murder of her daughter, maintains a controversial and distressing presence. Many community members, myself included, would prefer not to stumble upon content shared by her.

A number of videos have already been uploaded by her and each one is met with formidable backlash, showing a clear indication of how she is perceived (NBC News, 2021). Our community is composed of young, impressionable users as well, and exposing them to a figure tied to such severe criminal history can have detrimental effects.

TikTok has been dedicated to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for its users. In line with their 'Terms of Service' and content guidelines banning harmful or dangerous content, we believe that the banning of Casey Anthony from the platform is not only reasonable but also necessary to maintain this goal.

We implore TikTok and its administrators to take coordinated action. Please, sign our petition to remove Casey Anthony from TikTok and preserve the safety and integrity of our beloved platform.
