I am just a 46-year-old animal lover who went to their first rodeo a few months back and can’t get it out of my mind. Set aside the show you see, and all I can ask myself is what do they do to these animals during training? Do they train every day? Have these animals' nuts been squeezed or have they been electrically poked for days on end? What must this feel like for them to be yanked by the neck, slammed to the ground, tied up, and dragged? Ridiculous. And all for human sport.

While many across this country see it as sport, the animals do not. From training and practicing to event day, these animals are tortured for our fun. Though cows and bulls might be tough, they are not above pain and fear. How many animals are sacrificed while people train for this sport? The animals didn’t ask for this kind of life, and they don’t deserve this kind of life.
