The Issue

The Amzon forest is known as the "lungs of the world". Brazil is the main custodian of this grand natural wonder which is essential to protect us against grave climate disaster and loss of thousands of plant and animal species. Sadly, the Brazilian government had not only not helped to protect the Amazon but has promoted its destruction in name of development. President Bolsanaro has allowed illegal cattle rangers to slash and burn swaths areas of forest to meet the insatiable appetite of humanity for meat. It is estimated that 60% of the planets  biomass is now accounted for by human livestock pushing wildlife biomass to a mere 4%. If aggressive measures are not taken soon the consequences could be grave and irreversible.
