I believe the government needs to ban sportfishing of Bluefin Tuna because it is very unethical. These fish have only recently returned to British shores, and now they are being targeted by this sportfishing trend.

These fish are not being hunted for food - fishers are simply tormenting a large animal and potentially killing it for their entertainment. I would like to see it banned or at the very least legislation introduced to prevent sportfishing in shallow waters. My petition is prompted by George Monbiot’s recent article on this topic.
