Please join the peaceful protest against cruel hare coursing outside Powerstown Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary this Sunday, 2 February 2025, from 12 midday to 2pm
The protest coincides with the second day of the “coursing finals”, a shameful event which sees pairs of greyhounds unleashed to terrorise defenceless hares – all for the amusement of a merciless mob who cheer the dogs on and gamble on which one will be first to force each hare to change direction.
There are growing calls on the government to ban this barbaric bloodsport. A RED C poll commissioned by ICABS found that a 77 per cent majority want hare coursing outlawed, with just 9 per cent disagreeing with a ban. A majority in both rural and urban areas are in favour of a ban.
