Driving at night has become a nightmare for many Indian motorists due to the widespread use of high-intensity white headlights, especially when used in high beam.

These lights, often LED or HID, emit an extremely bright white or bluish light that causes temporary blindness and disorientation for oncoming drivers. On dark highways, this glare can easily lead to fatal accidents.

Despite existing rules on headlight focus and beam height, there are no effective limits on light color or intensity. Most of these aftermarket lights exceed safe levels of brightness and are installed without regulation.

👉 We demand:

1. A ban on sale and use of high-intensity white/blue LED or HID headlights.

2. Regulation to restrict headlight color temperature to under 4300K (warm white/yellowish) for road safety.

3. Strict penalties for high-beam misuse in city and populated areas.

4. A public awareness campaign on the dangers of blinding headlights.
