Dear Supporters

You will be aware that The Highgate Village Green Preservation Society has submitted a petition to Camden Council calling for a permanent ban on BBQs in Waterlow Park. This is to be presented to the Camden Council Environment and Culture Scrutiny Committee on 14 July where we will make the recommendation that the Committee refer the matter to the relevant decision-making body or officer of the Council with a recommendation to permanently ban all BBQs in Waterlow Park.

Camden's Director of Recreation, Oliver Jones, has responded, recommending to the Committee that no further action is necessary, i.e. that the current policy to allow BBQs remains in force.

Please spread the word to sign the petition - with 'NO BBQ' signs currently in place in Waterlow Park, many people, understandably, think the petition has been successful, however this is far from the case and we need as much support as possible.
