Hello Everyone, I wanted to make a short update to talk about my experience at the Change.org Canada office opening and this petition surpassing 33,000 signatures. About a week ago I was lucky enough to attend the opening of Change.org's Canada office in Victoria, BC. I was invited because I have one of the most popular petitions in the city (this petition). When there, I was able to talk with Elizabeth May, my MP Murray Rankin, The Mayor of Victoria, The President of Change.org, Change.org Employees and other petition starters like myself. Overall the experience was amazing, and I only have all of you to thank for getting me there. Like I said above, I was able to meet with my MP Murray Rankin. I have actually met with Murray in the past to talk about battery cages and my federal petition against battery cages, which you can view here: https://www.change.org/p/ban-battery-cages-in-canada Murray has shown a lot of support for our cause and petition. He told me he wants to do as much as he can to help the fight against battery cages and the fight to improve animal welfare. If any of you have any ideas on how Murray can help us and animals, please email me! nedtaylor27@gmail.com On a final note, because of the amazing people who run the petition to stop puppy mills in BC (https://www.change.org/p/agricultural-minister-norm-letnick-stop-puppy-mills-in-british-columbia) we have surpassed 33,000 signatures! I never imagined our petition doing this well but thanks to change.org, the people at the stop puppy mills petition and most of all, the over 33,000 of you, this petition and cause has more momentum than ever. As always, thank you all for your continued work and support. In solidarity, Ned Taylor P.S. In the photo above from the Change.org office opening you will find: Myself (on the right), A friend, local animal activist and petition starter, Jordan Reichert (in the middle), The Senior Campaigner and Communications Manager for Change.org Canada, Boris Savoie Doyer (on the left) Boris is actually the employee for Change.org that sends you emails asking you to sign certain petitions. He did this for our petition, which is a huge reason we have such a massive support base!
