Ban Australia Day lamb ad

The issue

Dear Ms Jolly,   We are contesting the ad contains SBS newsreader Lee Lin Chin as she masterminds a plan to bring Australians home for Australia Day so they can eat lamb. We request you reconsider banning this advertisement. There is several references to the term “boomerang” which some felt was insensitive to Indigenous Australians, especially given its timing with Australia Day. One scene shows a team of special agents breaking into a New York apartment and using a blow torch on a table when the occupant protests that he is vegan. Andrew Howie from Meat and Livestock Australia defended the scene, saying it was a bit of fun. However making fun of someone's lifestyle choices should never be perceived as enjoyable. Vegans should not be mentioned in an advertisement for meat. Especially with his furniture being set on fire. This can be perceived as bullying since this has nothing to do with meat advertising. Lambassador Sam Kekovich has called non meat eaters soap-avoiding, pot-smoking and un-Australian in the past. Please reconsider having this advertisement as not being open to diversity could not be more UN-AUSTRALIAN!!!!   Thank you.
