Animal testing harms 110 million animals every year in laboratories. If we can't ban animal testing in the US, then let's start with Washington. Humans test on animals for things that they will potentially use on themselves. For example, a rat may be diagnosed with COVID and then a vaccine that probably won't even work will be diagnosed on the rat. This can lead to horrific experiments and 92% of the products that DO work on the animals we test on don't work on humans. This is why animal testing should be banned in our state of Washington. As ten states in the US have already banned animal testing (California, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Virginia), I believe Washington can be the 11th to ban animal testing. I am a passionate 7th grader who believes animal testing can be stopped once and for all. It would really make a difference if you signed this petition. Thank you!
