For 45 years, I have proudly lived as an ethical vegan, dedicating my life to the cause of animal rights.
Animals share this world with us, they are not here for us to exploit or commodify.
The use of any sentient being for profit or scientific curiosity, without their consent, undermines our moral responsibility to protect those who cannot advocate for themselves.
Southampton University continues to conduct cruel and outdated vivisection practices, involving mice, fish, rats, and embryos.
These practices are not only inhumane, but they are also unreliable for predicting human safety and effectiveness, leading to wasted resources and unnecessary animal suffering.
Back in 2015, a staggering 192.1 million animals were subjected to vivisection worldwide; a number far too great to ignore.💔🐾
There's a pressing need to shift towards cutting-edge and humane alternatives.
Modern technology allows us to use human volunteers and other innovative methods that provide results far superior to animal testing.
These alternatives can preserve the integrity of scientific research while ensuring ethical standards are upheld.
It's time to take a stand against these inhumane practices.
Southampton University has the power to become a leader in ethical research by banning vivisection and embracing humanity's progress in science and compassion.💚
Join me and my team Southampton Animal Action...see link above... in advocating for the voiceless.
Let us push for the adoption of humane research methodologies.💚
We must ban vivisection now for the betterment of society and the respect for all living beings.
Let's pave the way for ethical research practices at Southampton University by signing this petition today.
