Hi my name is Nicola and find myself needing a property to rent. I'm astonished to find that there aren't many rental properties in my area that take pets.

I have a son who's autistic has ADHD, PTSD and is suicidal, so pets are an absolute must and as such we have two small dogs and two cats. We can't find a property to accept us all.

This isn't just about my family, this is a problem that affects us all, families with pets have just as much right to a rental property as those without and as such I feel it should be incumbent upon all landlords to accept them even in blocks of flats where possible.

The cruel practice of making families give up their beloved pets who are members of the family has got to stop.
