BAN ALL DEEP-BASS SPEAKERS in RESIDENTIAL APPLE VALLEY, CA

                                    BAN PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD !

The first few years of living in Apple Valley, CA, were relatively peaceful and quiet. However, in the last few years, the tranquility of my neighborhood has been shattered. At least five (and growing) residents, in my immediate neighborhood, have installed commercial-quality Deep-Bass Sonic Boom Speakers, invading our space with overwhelming sound with deep-bass percussion and vibrations, tantamount to a HOME-INVASION.    It has become challenging to enjoy our own entertainment, as we are essentially dictated by the offending neighbors as to what we shall and MUST listen to.

This disruption is not only an inconvenience; it's a PUBLIC HEALTH concern for all who are exposed to the Deep Bass Vibrations.  The DEEP BASS Sonic Speakers carry a feature called LOW FREQUENCY INTRUSION (LFI).  The LFI is damaging to all Living Cells, including Plant Life, AND HUMAN LIFE.  Numerous Medical Studies have shown the Heavy Percussion, Thumping, and Reverberation of the Deep Bass to cause Arrhythmia (a heart condition characterized by irregularities in the heartbeat's rate or rhythm), and ULTIMATELY VASCULAR DISEASES.  The LFI is almost inaudible; it is the Hi-Frequency Volume and Lyrics of music that one can easily hear.  But the Deep Bass’ LFI is primarily a devious SEISMIC FELT sensation.  The LFI VIBRATES and SHAKES entire structures; walls, dual-pane windows, doors and ceilings and LIVING CELLS.  The proliferation of these outdoor speakers has led to a significant increase in PC-415 (2) Disturbance of the Peace calls to the Sheriff's Dispatch. This overloads the demands on dispatch personnel and stretches the resources of our Sheriff's Officers.

It is not only the OUTDOOR POSITIONING of these Deep Bass Speakers that is Extremely Disruptive, it is the mere possession of these commercial quality Deep Bass speakers.  One homeowner who has been a notorious offender, blasting his noise over 2 blocks, finally moved his speakers INSIDE his home, and the Low Frequency Intrusion is STILL FELT, as the Deep Bass permeates his walls and travels an easy 200 feet, permeating the neighbors' homes with Thumping, Pounding Reverberations. Again, A HOME-INVASION !!   It has been argued that the Deep Bass can be beneficially Mood-Enhancing, generating dopamine in the human body.... but that is tantamount to a METH-USER reaching his 'HIGH', while he SLOWLY destroys his physical health. 

We call on the local authorities to BAN the use of ALL Deep-Bass Sonic Boom Speakers on residential properties less than 7 acres.   These ‘commercial’ speakers should be relegated to concerts and City Parks.  We expect there to be NO grandfathering-in of these devices, once the Ban is instituted.  This regulation would restore peace and tranquility to our communities, while eliminating unnecessary Public Health Hazards of the Deep Bass’ LFI.   Low Frequency Intrusion - Is LFI a part of your life?
