We are petitioning for the UK government to PROTECT our precious and beautiful underworld sanctuary and BAN bottom trawling and industrial scale fishing vessels entering UK waters. 

My family and I are dismayed and appalled after watching David Attenborough's documentary called 'Ocean'.  One of our most precious and beautiful natural environments is being ravaged and destroyed on a global scale.  This will negatively affect our ecosystem and impact everyone on the planet in your lifetime. This current overfishing often results in 75% of the catch being killed and discarded back into the water.

Industrial supertrawlers are tearing through the marine protected areas, destroying the ability for our oceans to ever recover, impacting the livelihoods of small scale fishermen and women. For those wanting to know more about the indiscriminate destruction of our seas and all marine life we'd recommend watching the aforementioned 2025 'Ocean' film.
