The biggest issue with AI, asides from data centres, is all the misinformation and disinformation, that can sometimes come from AI’s inevitable mistakes, but primarily from the AI models that allow it’s users to generate images and videos. We have all seen AI slop, whether it be on streaming platforms, or in messages, and not only are they annoying and being terrible for actual artists, they can also be used to cause harm, and fake many things, some of which can have catastrophic outcomes. They have also been used as scams, such as false advertising, and probably more that I am unaware of. Even without the more problematic things the AI generated media can do, it also is one of the biggest uses for AI, and has most definitely caused a large part of the data centres to be built.

So please, sign this petition, share it around, if you’ve had enough of AI media, either generated out of malicious intent, or just for ‘entertainment’.
