The Issue

As a lover of music, musicians, and art as a whole, I feel the need to support actual human creativity as much as i can, the talent that goes into producing genuine musical compositions. Music is an art form that requires dedication, talent, and true, raw emotion, which can only come from years of genuine human experience. Recently, the influx of AI-generated music and art has picked up speed at an alarming rate, and I believe it is not only hindering true musical expression but is also taking away jobs from hardworking musicians and artists, whose lives are devoted to the craft.

The rise of AI-generated music and art poses significant challenges to the artistic community. AI algorithms can now create music that is not only technical, but convincing to a large majority of people, and now is even garnering enough attention to gain chart status and radio play, Many existing musicians find themselves in a dangerous and honestly heart breaking position.  as AI music increasingly gains a foothold on the charts and begins to feature on national radio broadcasts, which in the past were reserved for musicians whose livelihood depends on their work being heard and recognized.

To preserve the sanctity of music as a human-driven art form, I urge the music industry stakeholders, including Billboard and radio broadcasting networks, to take a meaningful stance. By creating policies that restrict AI-generated music from appearing on music charts and being broadcast on national radio stations, we can protect the jobs of musicians who pour their heart into their craft and ensure and ensure a future for young aspiring musicians.

Please, act now, while there is still time, it's only the beginning.
