The backstory and the problem.

My name is Tom Milton. I’m a 13 year old boy. Recently my mum bought some ”giant” Warburtons crumpets which were delicious, but I was very disappointed to see that they came in two substantial pieces of plastic packaging, a single use container wrapped in a packet. The wrapper was there clearly for hygiene reasons but did not have to be made out of plastic. Some might say that surely it is ok if it is recyclable, but recycling is not the answer to the plastic problem. The container served pretty much no purpose. This could and should be removed.

This is only a small part of the problem.

Pretty much everything they produce is wrapped in plastic. It just is not good enough. They are a big company which needs to start making themselves more sustainable.

Please sign my petition to get Warburtons to remove unnecessary plastic packaging and replace the necessary plasticpackaging with more sustainable options.
