Let Misha Play!

Let Misha Play!
The Issue
Sport should be open to people of all backgrounds, irrespective of race, religion or nationality. But for the last 6 months Israeli badminton player Misha Zilberman has had a visa application to Indonesia refused time and time again. This means he is set to miss the World Championships, which are scheduled to start on Monday 10th of August. This is what he said, according to the Jerusalem Post:
"After six months of exchanging letters, and after sending all the documents they requested, and after we arrived in Singapore, they are saying no. After two weeks in Singapore waiting for a visa they are probably sending me home instead of to the World Championships."
Not only is this is a shocking act of discrimination by Indonesia, there has also been absolute silence by the Badminton World Federation. That's why we're calling on the BWF to say no to racism, and to #LetMishaPlay!
