Hello B.C,

My name is Brittany and I live in Victoria Bc. I have been struggling with mental health issues all my life, my daughter is now showing the same signs of high Anxiety. I live in low income housing ran by CRD, all other low income housing organizers recognize emotional support animals as well as just being able to own a dog in general but not the CRD. This is because the bc government hasn't recognized the fact that ESA's are such a benefit for people in my situation. This is against our human rights to be allowed and given the freedom to live happily without being controlled and the right to treatments for mental health. I would love to pay for a service dog but I'm sure like many of us we cannot afford $20000 to train and certify. I feel this is another way for the government to make money off of our despair. Let's fight for change to make it mandatory that all ESA animals are allowed in any home no matter what. This will help solve the abandoned animal crisis we are dealing with today. So many animals are left behind because of landlords not being open to having pets, so sad. So if you are reading this and are in my boat then let's fight for our right to happiness
