This petition acts as an open letter from the pagan and witchcraft community with one simple statement: We do not accept Azura Dragonfaether as the founder of any Dragon or Draconic spirituality, religion, or practice. This includes but is not limited to Draconic Wicca, Dragon Magick, Draconiansim, Dragon Alchemy, The Draconic Path, and Dragon Academia. 

Our statement covers both historic and modern uses of these terms and disputes any future founding claims made by Azura. These practices, religions, and spiritual paths are grassroots and community oriented - nobody has ownership over these paths. 

We do not accept retroactive offline claims of founding, as there is clear evidence that these movements have developed independently of Azura's work both on and off line. 

Furthermore, while Azura's work may have been pioneering in attracting popularity to these terms, it is a clear and recognised fact across the community that in modern contexts, these paths, practices, and faiths are rooted in the work of DJ Conway. Without Conway's work, our paths, practices, and faiths would look very different. While neither Conway or Azura are THE founder of these paths, they have left an impact on this community. Our aim is not to discredit these individuals entirely, it simply disputes the founding claims made by Azura and any other practitioner who claims as such.
