En su reciente intervención en el XVIII Congreso de Psiquiatras de Rusia, la directora del Centro Científico de Tratamiento y Rehabilitación “Fénix”, Olga Bukhanovskaya, declaró la existencia de un “trastorno del espectro transgénero” que incluiría “cinco enfermedades”, entre ellas la homosexualidad. Tal afirmación no solo contradice los estándares internacionales, sino que también demuestra un profundo desconocimiento por parte de la medicina rusa respecto a los cambios ocurridos en los países desarrollados, donde la transexualidad y la homosexualidad han sido despatologizadas.
Esta declaración es abiertamente discriminatoria y estigmatiza a la comunidad LGTBI+ en Rusia, creando una forma adicional de presión y peligro para millones de personas. En un contexto donde muchas personas LGTBI+ en Rusia ya afrontan odio y prejuicios, esto es inaceptable.
Para proteger los derechos de las personas LGTBI+ es necesaria la adopción de medidas decisivas a nivel internacional. Hago un llamamiento a la comunidad internacional para imponer sanciones personales contra Olga Bukhanovskaya, así como sanciones contra el Centro Científico de Tratamiento y Rehabilitación “Fénix” como persona jurídica. Las sanciones ayudarían a demostrar que la comunidad mundial no permanecerá indiferente y respaldará activamente los derechos LGTBI+ en todo el mundo.
Al firmar esta petición, usted expresa su solidaridad con las personas LGTBI+ en Rusia y exige a la comunidad internacional que adopte medidas que puedan mejorar la situación y preservar la dignidad humana de todas las personas, independientemente de su orientación sexual o identidad de género. In her recent address at the XVIII Congress of Psychiatrists of Russia, the director of the Treatment and Rehabilitation Research Center “Phoenix,” Olga Bukhanovskaya, claimed the existence of a “transgender spectrum disorder” that includes “five conditions,” among them homosexuality. Such a statement not only contradicts international standards but also reveals a deep misunderstanding within Russian medicine of the changes that have occurred in developed countries, where transgender identity and homosexuality have been depathologized.
This statement is openly discriminatory and stigmatizes the LGBTQ+ community in Russia, creating an additional form of pressure and danger for millions of people. In a context where many LGBTQ+ people in Russia already face hatred and prejudice, this is unacceptable.
To protect the rights of LGBTQ+ people, decisive measures at the international level are necessary. I call on the international community to impose personal sanctions on Olga Bukhanovskaya, as well as sanctions against the Treatment and Rehabilitation Research Center “Phoenix” as a legal entity. Sanctions would help demonstrate that the world community will not stand aside and will actively support LGBTQ+ rights worldwide.

В своём недавнем выступлении на XVIII съезде психиатров России, главный врач лечебно-реабилитационного научного центра «Феникс», Ольга Бухановская, утверждала о наличии «расстройства трансгендерного спектра», включающего «пять заболеваний», среди которых и гомосексуальность. Такое заявление не только противоречит международным стандартам, но и демонстрирует глубинное непонимание российской медициной изменений, произошедших в развитых странах, где трансгендерность и гомосексуализм депатологизированы.
Это заявление является откровенно дискриминационным и стигматизирует ЛГБТК+ сообщество в России, создавая дополнительную форму давления и опасности для миллионов людей. В условиях, когда и так многие ЛГБТК+ персоны в России сталкиваются с ненавистью и предвзятостью, это недопустимо.
Чтобы защитить права ЛГБТК+ персон, необходимо принятие решительных мер на международном уровне. Я призываю международное сообщество ввести персональные санкции против Ольги Бухановской, а также ввести санкции против лечебно-реабилитационного научного центра «Феникс» как юридического лица. Санкции помогут продемонстрировать, что мировое сообщество не останется в стороне и будет активно поддерживать ЛГБТК+ права по всему миру.
