‼️Yes, in Conil de la Frontera people are shooting at cats in a controlled colony and the Council does NOTHING. 

🩸On Saturday 10 January 2026 the volunteer who is looking after a colony found one of the cats wounded, and in very poor state. She took the cat to the vet and there it was confirmed that the poor thing had been shot and the bullet had entered into her lungs. There was nothing we could do, to save this poor soul, apart from relieving her from her pain and letting her go. 

🛟 The next day we found her sister, Iris, also wounded. In her case, the examination revealed that she had been shot from close range and the bullet had entered and exited her body, something that usually does not happen. It indicates someone got very close to the cat to shot her, and there cannot be any doubt that this was intentionally. 

😿 And it doesn’t end here. Their sibling appears to also been shot, he has wounded eye. However, he is so terrified and scared now, that we have not been able to catch him to take him to the vet for a check. He is eating and remains in the colony, which gives us hope that whatever happened to him is not affecting him too badly, giving us a bit more time to gain his trust again and catch him. 

👮🏽 Conil Council received 2 denunciations from us, the volunteer made ‘denunciations’ at the Guardia Civil, however there has yet not been any response or action taken from the Council. 

🤬 So apart from not complying with the law in many respects, which is addressed in this petition and updates, they are now also turning a blind eye to animal abuse and murder, in plain view of the public (not only putting the innocent cats at risk, but obviously anyone who is in the vicinity and could be accidentally shot!). 

🙏🏼As a very small organisation we are trying to all we can to help the community cats of Conil and make them part of the community, without causing too many disruptions and nuisances for anyone, who is not a big fan of them* (which we respect), we are helpless to fight this blatant ignorance of the local government and need YOUR signature to give this lawbreaking behaviour more visibility.

ℹ️*(Note: the reason community cats are living on the street is NOT their fault. Irresponsible people who either abandon unwanted cats or leave their unneutered cats roam the streets are responsible!)

‼️Sí, en Conil de la Frontera están disparando a los gatos de una colonia controlada y el Ayuntamiento no hace NADA. 

🩸El sábado 10 de enero de 2026, la voluntaria que cuida de una colonia encontró a uno de las gatas herida y en muy mal estado. Lo llevó al veterinario y allí se confirmó que la pobrecita había recibido un disparo y que la bala le había perforado los pulmones. No pudimos hacer nada para salvar a esta pobre criatura, salvo aliviar su dolor y dejarla ir. 

🛟 Al día siguiente encontramos a su hermana, Iris, también herida. En su caso, el examen reveló que le habían disparado a quemarropa y que la bala había entrado y salido de su cuerpo, algo que no suele ocurrir. Esto indica que alguien se acercó mucho a ella para dispararle, y no cabe duda de que fue intencionado. 

😿 Y la cosa no acaba aquí. Su hermano también parece haber recibido un disparo, ya que tiene un ojo herido. Sin embargo, ahora está tan aterrorizado y asustado que no hemos podido atraparlo para llevarlo al veterinario a que lo examine. Está comiendo y permanece en la colonia, lo que nos da esperanzas de que lo que le haya pasado no le esté afectando demasiado, lo que nos da un poco más de tiempo para volver a ganarnos su confianza y atraparlo. 

👮🏽 El Ayuntamiento de Conil recibió dos denuncias nuestras, el voluntario presentó denuncias ante la Guardia Civil, pero aún no ha habido ninguna respuesta ni se ha tomado ninguna medida por parte del Ayuntamiento. 

🤬 Así que, además de incumplir la ley en muchos aspectos, como se aborda en esta petición y en las actualizaciones, ahora también están haciendo la vista gorda ante el maltrato y el asesinato de animales, a la vista de todo el mundo (¡no solo poniendo en peligro a los gatos inocentes, sino también a cualquiera que se encuentre en las inmediaciones y pueda recibir un disparo accidentalmente!). 

🙏🏼Como organización muy pequeña, estamos haciendo todo lo posible para ayudar a los gatos comunitarios de Conil e integrarlos en la comunidad, sin causar demasiadas molestias a quienes no son muy aficionados a ellos* (lo cual respetamos). Nos sentimos impotentes ante la flagrante ignorancia del gobierno local y necesitamos TU firma para dar más visibilidad a este comportamiento ilegal.

ℹ️*(Nota: la razón por la que los gatos comunitarios viven en la calle NO es culpa suya. ¡Los responsables son las personas irresponsables que abandonan a los gatos no deseados o dejan que sus gatos sin castrar deambulen por las calles!).

‼️Ja, in Conil de la Frontera wird auf Katzen in einer kontrollierten Kolonie geschossen, und der Stadtrat unternimmt NICHTS. 

🩸Am Samstag, dem 10. Januar 2026, fand die Freiwillige, die sich um eine Kolonie kümmert, eine der Katzen verwundet und in sehr schlechtem Zustand vor. Sie brachte die Katze zum Tierarzt, wo bestätigt wurde, dass das arme Tier angeschossen worden war und die Kugel in ihre Lunge eingedrungen war. Wir konnten nichts tun, um dieses arme Tier zu retten, außer ihr die Schmerzen zu nehmen und sie gehen zu lassen. 

🛟 Am nächsten Tag fanden wir ihre Schwester Iris, ebenfalls verletzt. In ihrem Fall ergab die Untersuchung, dass sie aus nächster Nähe angeschossen worden war und die Kugel ihren Körper durchschlagen hatte, was normalerweise nicht vorkommt. Das deutet darauf hin, dass jemand sehr nah an die Katze herangekommen ist, um auf sie zu schießen, und es kann kein Zweifel daran bestehen, dass dies absichtlich geschehen ist. 

😿 Und das ist noch nicht alles. Auch ihr Bruder scheint angeschossen worden zu sein, er hat eine Augenverletzung. Allerdings ist er jetzt so verängstigt und verschreckt, dass wir ihn noch nicht einfangen konnten, um ihn zum Tierarzt zu bringen. Er frisst und bleibt in der Kolonie, was uns Hoffnung gibt, dass das, was ihm widerfahren ist, ihn nicht allzu sehr beeinträchtigt, sodass wir etwas mehr Zeit haben, sein Vertrauen zurückzugewinnen und ihn einzufangen. 

👮🏽 Der Stadtrat von Conil hat zwei Anzeigen von uns erhalten, die Freiwillige hat Anzeigen bei der Guardia Civil erstattet, jedoch gab es bisher noch keine Reaktion oder Maßnahmen seitens des Stadtrats. 

🤬 Abgesehen davon, dass sie in vielerlei Hinsicht gegen das Gesetz verstoßen, was in dieser Petition und den Updates angesprochen wird, verschließen sie nun auch noch die Augen vor Tierquälerei und Mord, und das vor den Augen der Öffentlichkeit (wodurch nicht nur die unschuldigen Katzen gefährdet werden, sondern natürlich auch jeder, der sich in der Nähe aufhält und versehentlich erschossen werden könnte!)

🙏🏼 Als sehr kleine Organisation versuchen wir alles in unserer Macht stehende, um den Straßenkatzen von Conil zu helfen und sie in die Gemeinschaft zu integrieren, ohne dabei zu viele Störungen und Belästigungen für diejenigen zu verursachen, die keine großen Fans von ihnen sind* (was wir respektieren). Wir sind jedoch hilflos im Kampf gegen diese offensichtliche Ignoranz der lokalen Regierung und brauchen DEIN Unterschrift, um dieses gesetzeswidrige Verhalten sichtbarer zu machen.

ℹ️*(Anmerkung: Der Grund, warum Streuner auf der Straße leben, ist NICHT ihre Schuld. Verantwortlich sind diejenigen Menschen, die entweder unerwünschte Katzen aussetzen oder ihre unkastrierten Katzen auf der Straße herumlaufen lassen!)
