A recent note from the Mayor and Council suggests that the City’s Antenna Structure Review Process guidelines seek to ensure "the full benefit of public awareness and consultation before any City Council decision is made." These guidelines add that "owners and occupiers of neighbouring property" are, it says, "to be contacted and afforded an opportunity to review the proposal and offer feedback." (under General Planning Guidelines: Antenna Structure Review Procedures) No such consultation of owners and occupiers was ever done. After the deafening construction began over my head, the Fairfield Community centre was surprised to hear of the new installation and it began to forward questions to me from concerned and surprised owners in the area. This is clearly not acceptable.
