Dear all,

What can I say? We did it. By signing this petition, we've made an enormous impact which meant that in the end ITV couldn't ignore our voices, and the growing public disdain.

If you've not already seen, the Schofield's have had a busy weekend. One got sentenced to 12 years in prison for child abuse, the other highlighted how honorable and kind they are, while bravely deciding to quit ITV's This Morning with immediate effect.

Whoever wrote that exit script is probably unlikely to get a soap award any time soon - unless it's an actual bar of soap, awarded for trying to keep his image squeaky clean.

But it's failed, and is failing.

Since my last message, we didn't have to do much more before seeing Phillip Schofield booted out the door. Quietly and steadily I gained more signatures, and it appears that this time ITV decided to intervene. Thank you to those extra signatures... alongside declining viewing numbers, it really did make a difference.

I hope that we don't see him again - though ITV are still suggesting his next Prime Time Show will go ahead. If that's the case, and if you happen to see him on TV shows again, remember to turn off - even if it's not your TV...  let's make sure brainwashing isn't allowed.... and that another remake of Schofield and his hypnotic telly-coloured raincoat isn't aired.

It's obviously a huge victory to know Schofield won't be back on This Morning, but I hope he doesn't disturb evenings instead. The ask was to get him off TV. So to reiterate to ITV, don't be so dumb! Cut all ties - (like his bestie did) - and start to rebuild your reputation again.

The same can be said for Holly Willoughby and her uncertain future. This petition was for them both to go, so time will tell if Holly can survive by herself. As time has passed, Holly was perceived to be more likeable, and genuinely seemed duped herself at times. However, trust has been lost and the seed of doubt has been planted.

It's not over in terms of secrets, injunctions, and who knows what else Schofield and Willoughby hide, but it is over in terms of result - they've got rid of Schofield, and while it may be buttered up as his reluctant choice, WE KNOW THE REAL REASON. Well done everyone for supporting the petition and helping others to speak out against the once perfect pair.

I consider this a win, and a victory for the principles of integrity.
