Bullying in the nursing practice has become a silent culture that can be so subtle that even the bully does not realize what they are doing. Bullying has major effects on the nursing practice and in turn, patient status faction. We are trying to create change for a healthy work environment and patient satisfaction. This petition is to urge the College of Nurse’s of Ontario (CNO) to include bullying trainings in the school curriculum for future nurses and also collaborate with health care organizations to train the current staff on the various types of bullying (Covert and Overt) and the effects. We are proposing yearly workshops, trainings or modules toward this change initiative. It is time to act as we are losing new nurses as a result of bullying. The nursing profession is facing major staff shortage and we do not need more nurses leaving because of bullying. Please sign this petition. Thank you for your help.
