Even though some students are exempted from Canadian travel restrictions, Indian airlines are not allowing students to board the flights on a simple ground that you’re new to Canada, hence you cannot go.

Despite the fact that most of us have already completed a semester from Canadian institute, the ignorance we face is disheartening. We all saw how the ticket purchasing worked. It was amazing to hear agents telling students “I can get you 5 tickets, you’ll have to pay ticket price + 1lac”. Let’s come together and urge Indian aviation sector to provide answers to students on why their Airindia employees treated students like trash, threatening to kick out students from the airport, when we argued on how our reason was essential and we fall under the exempted category. Now we are stuck with confusions over our future, education and work permit. 

We are stuck in between our studies, forced to take a gap between our semesters I.e unauthorised leave, which will clearly have implications on our post graduate work permit.
