Primero que nada, ¡hola! ¡Gracias a cada una de las 7,000 personas que firmaron nuestra petición por su compromiso a “Quit Avelo until they quite ICE flights”!
Aquí hay algunas acciones que pueden tomar HOY DÍA para continuar esta batalla:
1) Continuemos con el boicoteo y compartan la llamada con amigos, familiares y comunidades a gran escala. Avelo ha priorizado sus fines de lucro sobre la humanidad. Nosotros no apoyamos eso.
2) Sigan a la coalición de inmigrantes de New Haven (New Haven Immigrants Coalition en inglés) en nuestras redes sociales para mantenerse al tanto de nuestras actualizaciones a cada instante.

3) Si viven en Connecticut (desde ayer, hay por lo menos 2,500 de ustedes que sí que están aquí), llamen a sus legisladores para pedirles que continúen apoyando el Trust Act reformado, que incluye la prohibición del lucro a partir del trabajo de deportaciones por corporaciones privadas.
4) Si viven en otra región con una base de Avelo (Burbank, el aeropuerto de Harry Reid en Las Vegas, Orlando, Raleigh, Durham, Wilmington), trabajen con sus grupos locales por los derechos de los inmigrantes para reunir apoyo para la causa. A partir de eso, manténganos al tanto de sus iniciativas – somos más fuertes unidos.
Por favor sepan que la Coalición de inmigrantes de New Haven es una organización compuesta exclusivamente de voluntarios. Hemos estado trabajando intensivamente como equipo desde diciembre y estamos continuando el trabajo llevado a cabo desde hace ya múltiples décadas por varias organizaciones e individuos de New Haven. Well, hello! Thank you, all 7,000 of you, for your commitment to Quit Avelo until they quit ICE flights! Avelo says their first flights will start May 12th. We can make an impact. Either they quit ICE or they leave New Haven - and their other hubs.
Here’s what you can do TODAY to continue the fight.
- Keep up the boycott and share the call with your friends, families and communities at large. Avelo has chosen profit over humanity. We don’t support that.
- Follow the New Haven Immigrants Coalition on our socials for up to the minute updates.
Instagram: @nhvimmigrants Facebook: New Haven Immigrants - If you live in CT (as of yesterday, at least 2,500 of you do!), call your legislators to ask them to continue to support the enhanced Trust Act, including the provision to prohibit state dollars from going to corporations profiting from deportation work.
- If you live in another region with an Avelo hub (Burbank, Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas, Orlando, Raleigh, Durham, Wilmington) work with local immigrant rights groups to rally support, and keep us posted on your efforts – we are stronger together.
Please know the New Haven Immigrant Coalition is an all volunteer organization. We’ve been working together intensively since December and are building on the decades of work organizations and individuals have been doing in New Haven.
