Autism Speaks. A group that treats autism as a disease that needs to be cured rather than a disability. They want to speak for autistic people, instead of listening.
I started this petition because UMD has recently started an Autism Speaks U group. One of their main purposes is to "advocate for increased research". I want to stop this group before it can go any further to hurt autistic people and people that care about them.
