We have formed a 12 man team in the QBSA with it's members sharing a combined 350 odd years of experience with rural Australia and quad bikes.
The goal is still to overturn this legislation so that the 6 major manufacturers bring there quad bikes back in to Australia.
Workplace Health and Safety Qld have asked for a questionnaire to be returned by 16/6/22 so we have made recommendations more in line with the manufacturers specifications. One of our strategies along with WHSQ is to get some common sense in Q;d, then move it on to the other states, from there hopefully we can get some common sense from other powers that be.
We have the full support of Ag Force and have simplified our approach to this Govt Legislation that affects so many people, so we still ask all of our wonderful 29500 signatories to share the legislation as we still believe that the higher the petition numbers the more strength we will have when it comes to crunch time.
We will also be bringing the threat of a class action in to this debate as in many ways it has similarities to the NT live cattle export legislation.
QBSA believe with the new Govt we have a better chance of getting some change as no doubt the Labour Govt would like to do some good things for rural Australia so we will work on this in the near future.. I'm afraid that between the party stacking Sukkar and his LNP Govt, there was just no support for rural Australia.
Please help spread this far and wide so we can continue to try and make a deserved change for rural and regional Australia.
