Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for your support. As encouraging as it is, it's actually quite disconcerting to see how many this issue, has, and is continuing to affect. Court has been adjourned til May 20, so while it means the toxic destruction of this little immune system is continuing, at least the onset of radiation is delayed, hopefully stopped. The media coverage to date has been fairly balanced. Although I feel a point that has been misrepresented is the term 'palliative'. Palliative chemotherapy is where the patient is give a lower, less destructive dose of oral chemotherapy, usually in cases where the prognosis is poor. The ethics committee of the hospital had stated that this would be an 'acceptable' choice for the parents. That is the option the parents chose, in order that they comply with the medicos, while still free to balance it with their own choice of specialised medical alternatives. (NOT, so they could take their child home to die!) However, the onc then stated "No that's off the table now" - he had already filed papers to the courts.
