Sydney Water own land on Bundanoon Road, Woronora Heights that they are planning to develop into housing. Many people are concerned about this for several reasons:

1. This area, which is part of the local 'Greenweb' is home to several threatened species including the Eastern Bent- Wing Bat, Grey Headed Flying Fox, Powerful Owl and the Red- crowned Toadlet. We are also aware that a Koala had made this area their home in recent times. This development would cause major destruction to these vulnerable species' habitat.

2. As there is only one road in and out of Woronora Heights (Bundanoon Road) many residents are concerned that this development will increase traffic congestion in the area. This would also be a problem for many threatened species as it is often used as a wildlife crossing.

3. Increased traffic congestion in this area would be extremely hazardous if there is a bushfire in the area. It would increase the time it will take for the residents of Woronora Heights to be able to escape. The development would also restrict some residence emergency fire escape route.

THIS IS A PRECIOUS WILDLIFE CORRIDOR, WE CAN'T LOSE THIS TO DEVELOPMENT!! SAVE OUR THREATENED SPECIES...... SIGN THIS PETITION!!
