Today's Australian Women's Weekly (December 2016 edition pages 124 to 126) A breakthrough halted Kerri Cassidy's Multiple Sclerosis symptoms. Now she's fighting so it can help others. Beverley Hadgraft reports on Australia's own Lorenzo's Oil case." This article was in response to Kerri's selection as Finalist for the Australian National Disability Awards for Excellence in Justice and Rights Protection for people with disabilities. Subsequent Reader’s comments include: ‘’This is the first article that I have read that is honest and fair. It is fantastic article. Congratulations to Kerri and the CCSVI team who have worked so tirelessly over the past 6 years’’. “With the results of the comparable Italian Brave Dreams clinical trial due to be published on 17 November 2016 this interview with Kerri reminds us that Australia is up there with the best” ‘’The world is waiting in anticipation for this article. We are fighting for proper testing, treatment and aftercare throughout the world and Australia has taken the lead. We are all so excited that one country is paying attention! Perhaps the rest of the Commonwealth will get their heads out of the sand”. “It needs to be said that there has been, and continues to be, a systemic failure in health care (both process and content) whereby generations of Australians with multiple sclerosis may have been under-diagnosed/misdiagnosed in relation to cardiovascular comorbidities with disastrous medical consequence’’ ‘’This and the Alfred Trial results are what we are waiting for. Will all medical disciplines and politicians accept the findings on CCSVI? The Nay Sayers have said that we have gone very quiet on this subject but if there are positive results (and I am confident that there will be) it will be very hard to stop people like me from expressing our views’’.
