You are receiving this update because of your participation in an Open Letter/Petition to Australian Politicians on the above topic. In response to suggestions the Open Letter is now supported by critical research abstracts. It has also been backdated whereby it references feedback since 2011 – some 2,700 primarily Australian Families. We have written to the Leaders and Deputy Leaders of the major Australian political parties (Liberals, Nationals, Labor and the Greens) on your behalf along with around 40% of elected representatives (House of Reps and Senate). We have also written to the CEO of MS Australia and most of the MS Australia Board members. All of this correspondence can be viewed via the link provided below. For the next step we again would appreciate your help – but only if you are comfortable. Over the next 3 weeks it will assist if Australians can make sure that their political candidates are very much aware about how important this issue is to your family as well as the other 24,000 Australian families living with a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. As an absolute minimum seek personal commitments that they will strongly advocate on your behalf for the Parliament to ''assist in accelerating what is being learnt regarding cardiovascular disorders and multiple sclerosis (including CCSVI conditions) into benefits for patients and reduced government outlays''. Emphasise that no new medical procedures or medications are involved. It’s all about Access and Protecting the Vulnerable . Be blunt - if you are so inclined – ‘’No advocacy No vote’’.
