Every year, almost 30,000 to 40,000 horses get slaughtered in Australia. But why? Many get killed for human and pet consumption but on the other hand many of them are failed racehorses. Most of them get killed in knackeries. Where they are treated inhumanely by the workers. They are malnourished, sick and lifeless. This is an issue very close to my heart as I have a love for horses. You may not be an animal person, but can't you feel for these poor animals? being shot in the head then dragged into a shed to be shot again even when they have so much potential ahead of them? In my opinion actions like this shouldn't be happening in this country. That is why I'm creating this campaign.
