The Australian government has passed an unprecedented surveillance bill, worse than any similar legislation in any other five eye country.

This bill gives the Australian Federal Police (AFP) the power to modify, delete, copy or edit data on your device and take control of your social media accounts as they see fit.

In theory, the police could put something like child porn images onto your device and then arrest you for it. While something like this is not the intention of the bill, there are also no significant safeguards against it.

The amount of disrespect shown to our Human Rights in Australia is disgusting and this bill needs to be destroyed.
