All cancer patients deserve hope! Currently only Major Cancers with obvious treatment pathways can access Chemotherapy through our pharmaceutical benefits scheme. This means that if you have the misfortune of having Cancer, but a Rare Cancer, you have to pay yourself for the same medications that others are getting under PBS. This means that Australians are having to beg over fundraising pages to help them individually, or sell everything they have. These treatments cost thousands of dollars a month. Be aware that many childhood cancers are rare. I am asking the government to give all cancer patients a fair go.
