As more and more of the world is vaccinated against covid 19 the Australian Federal government and the Australian state governments still has not implemented new legislation for returning Australians and permanent residents that have been fully vaccinated and that are returning from countries with high vaccine rates.

By allowing a change in policy to allow returning citizens and permanent residents the ability to come back under a new quarantine measure such as home quarantine or a reduced hotel quarantine would greatly benefit so many, especially those who need to return home for unexpected family medical emergencies.

This change in policy would also free up spaces for unvaccinated people who desperately need to return back to Australia and help elevate the severe financial and mental health hardship so many have had to endure with the hotel quarantine legislation that is currently in place

We as overseas Australians have done the right thing to protect our fellow citizens by getting vaccinated but yet we are still denied our human right to return back to our country when and if we need too.

We have paid the price for too long for poor government policies and decisions. We now ask as Australians a change in both state and federal government policies to make returning back to Australia as easy as possible.
