Migraine is excluded from many things by our Government - and our health system - that discards our serious and incurable neurological disorder as 'just a headache.

Want an example? The picture is a screen shot from the ATAGI advice on which kids should get prioritised access to the COVID-19 vaccines. Migraine is explicitly excluded from the definition of chronic neurological conditions.

To be fair to ATAGI, we're pretty sure this list is just copied and pasted, because migraine is excluded from who gets a government subsidised flu vaccine too, and we were also excluded from the chronic conditions that got you into 1B for adults. We have been asking the health minister to explain why migraine is excluded from the definition of chronic condition in many parts of government for a while... 

Have no doubt, the ABS excluding migraine is just the latest in a long series of discrimination against migraine. But it's a really important one to fix because so many decisions are based on Census data. 

We know everyone is tired. The pandemic has been exhausting and lockdown even more so. Many people have told us they just don't have the capacity to care about something else - and we understand that, but this is really important.
