My girlfriend and I have been in a long-distance relationship, between Australia and the US for over 2 years. She visited me last March to help me plan my move to Melbourne. She was forced home 2 weeks later, and we've been fighting to get an exemption for me to travel ever since. We've been declined over 60 times, even though we have proved our status as a couple. Hundreds of pages of evidence, call/text logs, certified documents, proof of a COVID vaccine, and still nothing. Our story has been made public by Perth Now (a publication) and we still can't get a positive outcome. Stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, hair loss, loss of appetite, and so much more has set in over the last 11 months.
