Australia’s Priorities: Homes, Jobs & Services Before Mass Immigration

Australia’s Priorities: Homes, Jobs & Services Before Mass Immigration
The issue
We, the undersigned, are everyday Australians who are deeply worried about the direction our country is heading.
Right now, millions of people across Australia are struggling. Housing has become unaffordable. Rents are out of control. Power bills are rising fast. Families are working harder than ever but still can’t make ends meet. Homelessness is growing — and it’s affecting working people, not just the unemployed.
We’re proud to live in a diverse and welcoming country. This petition is not about race or fear — it’s about survival, fairness and the future generations of young Australians
Once Housing supply catches up with demand, Critical services (like hospitals, schools, and transport) can support current population levels, And we’ve taken care of the millions already here, only then can we support further immigration.
This is not “anti-anyone” — it’s “pro-Australia.” We simply want to get our house in order before inviting more guests in.
We call on the Federal Government to:
Pause mass immigration until housing, infrastructure, and affordability issues are under control
Declare a national housing emergency, and build homes that working people can actually afford.
No hand outs for people who don’t work or contribute tax when they are able.
Improve essential services already stretched thin in cities and regions.
Address ambulance ramping and increase hospital beds per capita.
We are calling on you as one, to develop a fair and sustainable population plan for the future — with community wellbeing, equality, sustainability and future thought at its heart.
Let’s support those who are already here — our neighbours, pensioners, families, colleagues, home owners, renters, young people, and migrants already trying to build a life. That’s not racism. That’s common sense, and it’s compassion.
Set Australia up for future success not future decline.
We are one, but we are many. And from all the lands on earth we come. We share a dream and sing with one voice: I am, you are, we are Australian.
