Living in Willow Grove, like many other residents, I face a significant challenge in accessing my mail. The closing of our local post office has forced us to travel to Moe or Trafalgar to collect mail incurring both time and financial burdens. For myself and others, by the cost of a PO Box, a hassle that could be easily alleviated. We also have a number of elderly and disabled members in our community that do not have the ability to travel to post offices in nearby towns.  

With many of us experiencing similar inconveniences due to the post office closure. We, the residents, strongly feel that our voices have not been heard on this matter.

This is not just an isolated incident. According to Australia Post's own data, many rural and regional post offices across the country have been closed in recent years. This leaves communities like ours without easy access to essential mail services.

As a resident of Willow Grove, I believe that conducting a mail poll vote to assess the community response to a roadside delivery service would greatly benefit our community. The introduction of a roadside delivery service would revolutionize the way we receive our mail, providing convenience and efficiency for all residents.

By assessing the community's response through a mail poll vote, we can ensure that this service meets the needs and expectations of our community members.

I kindly request that Australia Post consider conducting this mail poll vote as soon as possible. It would allow us to gauge the level of interest and support for this service, enabling us to make informed decisions about its implementation.

As part of the process for Australia post to consider a change they require a petition be submitted.
