The day will be marked by events held in England, United States, Argentina, Australia, and elsewhere.

False accusations occur in bitter disputes over custody when relationships break down and can take the form of charges of Domestic Violence or of Child Abuse. 

They can have serious consequences for the child coerced to make false abuse allegations against the father or the mother as well as for the accused parent.

A number of cases have occurred in Australia in recent years of false accusations of rape or sexual assault, but the accuser is never held responsible for the destruction they cause to the person they have falsely accused!

The purpose of this petition is to call on the Australian Government to take a more active role, to investigate suspected false accusations and to impose realistic sentences if proven.
